This episode is brought to you by the Cloud Wars Expo. This in-person event will be held from June 28th to 30th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

Highlights

01:49 — Computers are constantly learning and evolving. Advanced AI mimics the human mind in some ways, so its functionality is often described in anatomical terms. Neural networks of computers are closely related to neurons in the brain.

02:23 — This correlation here has led researchers to better understand how brains work at a single neuron level. Researchers have found neurons are not the simple on/off switches they were previously believed to be.

02:59 — Understanding these neurons more fully can aid scientists in battling diseases, such as Parkinson’s and other conditions affected by the brain’s signals to the body.

03:28 — Data scientists are analyzing deep neural networks and machine learning that functions and learns like neurons learn in the human brain. This could impact the future development of AI transformers.

04:15 — These developments could lead to genuine real-time speech translation, self-healing databases, and synthetically simulated diseases, such as Parkinson’s, to better understand potential treatments.
