Charles Allen is a Senior Managing Consultant for BKD Technologies. He has been consulting on Microsoft Dynamics GP since 1999, is a 10-time Microsoft MVP in GP, a Microsoft Certified Professional, and
has Dynamics Pro Advanced Credentials.
In this brief interview, Charles chats with Aaron Back, Senior Analyst with Acceleration Economy Media. They discuss what attendees can learn from his Community Summit sessions.
Charles will be sharing his experience and knowledge on the advantages of Microsoft Dynamics GP with two sessions. His primary goal is to help people learn how to use simple reporting for more than just operational reports and how to setup data functionality in GP.
Using SSRS to Create Invoices and other Form-Style Reports for Dynamics GP:
Dynamics GP provides Report Writer and Word templates to create form-style documents like invoices and purchase orders. Sometimes, there are reasons you need to go outside of GP. Needing more data than what Report Writer allows and fine-tuning formatting are two reasons. With SQL Reporting Services, users can build form-style reports that can provide access to all GP data and even data not stored in GP. Additionally, you can add formatting that is not easily done in Word. This presentation will walk through how to create an invoice form.
Who Changed My Data?:
Knowing what data is changing, who changed it, and when it was changed are three important pieces of information. They help organizations understand the data and verify that only appropriate people are making changes. Whether users are entering data in GP, importing it, or using queries, knowing what is happening can help an organization with security. Attend this webinar to learn about methods available with the tools you have to track changes to your data.
Charles is looking forward to attending Summit because he wants to teach his courses and can’t wait to meet people and renew old friendships.
