With the proliferation of devices today, they have become an extension of people in many ways. Whether it’s our phones, voice-activated devices, or mixed/augmented reality (AR), customers are naturally leveraging these as they create an experience.

More than that, businesses are having to transform the way they utilize AR as a tool internally and externally. AR opens doors for people to collaborate in new ways that people are still exploring.

Augmented Reality as a Business Tool

Augmented customers are a result of ever-advancing technology and the introduction of augmented reality. AR is essentially technology that uses various features to enhance users’ views of the real world. By looking through the lens on a smartphone, for instance, AR turns physical objects into digital elements that users can interact with.

Using AR as a tool can have many advantages for businesses. For example, companies can use it to produce interactive marketing campaigns to connect with their customers. Additionally, businesses can use it to promote products. By implementing this technology on a business app, AR allows customers to try before they buy, like virtually trying on clothes, makeup, or even see what furniture would look like displayed in their room. With these additional ways for consumers to engage with a business and its products, companies will also have access to new data to see what users are engaging with most so they can better meet customer needs.

In this episode, I’ll dive into the augmented customer and different ways businesses can think about leveraging AR tools.
