Artificial intelligence image recognition technology has seen some great strides in the past couple of years. This brings a level of excitement to what the future holds for AI-assisted technology.

In this “Back @ IT” episode for the @Dynamic Communities DAC News Desk, I’ll explore some great examples of where computer vision is being utilized, some pros and cons, and things to consider if you are looking to leverage AI tools like this.

00:37: The growth of the image recognition market

01:31: Is the push for autonomous vehicle usage viable now? And, what are the ethical and safety considerations?

03:26: How “The Molly Problem” is helping answer questions about AI governance for self-driving vehicles and the impact on people.

04:48: From pastries to cancer treatment. How AI is recognizing cancer cells to help with early detection.

08:08: Final thoughts: Fear of the unknown, being open to change and new potential, and embracing tech now.
