Highlights
00:36 — Informatica has launched the industry’s only free cloud data loading, integration, and Extract Transform Load/Extract Load Transform (ELT/ETL) service. It’s called Informatica Cloud Data Integration-Free and PayGo and is aimed at both data practitioners and business users. The service enables users to quickly build data pipelines.
00:58 — Benefits to business users include the ability to quickly load, integrate, and analyze data, while data teams can expedite development and increase productivity.
01:10 — The release follows the launch of Informatica Data Loader back in May 2022, which is another free service, and the new offerings now work together to provide a complete data loading and integration system compatible with all the leading data warehouses and data lake house platforms.
01:25 — The purpose of this initiative from Informatica is to support companies as they transition into becoming truly data-driven by enabling self-service data integration to all users in an organization. Now Cloud Data Integration-Free is a fully free service and it enables users to process up to 20 million rows for ELT or reach 10 processing hours for ETL per month.
01:50 — PayGo has all the capabilities of Cloud Data Integration Free, but with no limit on
processing rows or hours of usage. It also includes customer support and SOC2 compliance and,
as the name suggests, users pay for what they use via credit card.
02:03 — Informatica is providing a springboard for businesses to become data-driven; they’re allowing companies to experiment with simple data integration jobs while providing the opportunity to scale these jobs and activities as they grow in confidence and begin to use their data more
comprehensively.
